The Online Extremist Ecosystem: Its Evolution and a Framework for Separating Extreme from Mainstream

The authors describe how the internet has become a safe harbor for white supremacist and other extremist views and introduce a framework with which internet users can categorize the platforms they encounter and navigate around high-traffic nodes of the extremist ecosystem.
