The Denazify Lie: Russia's Use of Extremist Narratives Against Ukraine

The authors examine Russia's use of racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism (REMVE) narratives in the context of its war against Ukraine from 2022 to early 2024. Using tools of network and content analysis on a multilingual corpus of data from X (formerly Twitter) and Telegram, the authors analyze Russia's propagandists' and proxies' success in reaching broad audiences through social media.
