A discussion of supply management problems from the viewpoint of systems analysis. Supply management is systems management. Procedures looking only to the individual line item are not adequate. It is essential to develop new management techniques that take account of the complex relationship between the behavior of line items and of the supply items as a whole. This Memorandum examines two such techniques.
