Scattering Functions for Rayleigh Atmospheres of Arbitrary Thickness

A complete quantitative solution is given for the problem of the magnitudes and polarizations of the directional and total fluxes of radiation emerging from the upper and lower boundaries of a plane-parallel Rayleigh atmosphere.
