A resume of the Conference on Urban Economics held August 24-25, 1964, at RAND. This conclave of public officials and researchers discussed race relations and poverty, urban transportation, and ways in which a coordinated set of policy tools for attacking urban problems and improving urban functions might help in shaping a better metropolis.
