This 1973 study of munitions support for tactical air operations was initiated to examine and quantify the impact on combat capability of changes in the numbers and types of air-to-ground nonnuclear munitions available to the operational commander. The Tactical Resources and Combat Effectiveness (TRACE) model was developed to support this study.
