This document is the final report for an evaluation conducted by RAND for the Social Security Administration (SSA) titled "Policy Evaluation of the Effect of the 1996 Welfare Reform Legislation on SSI Benefits for Disabled Children." The study was designed to evaluate how the 1996 PRWORA legislation affected and will affect SSI caseloads and costs, and how the law affected children and their families who lost eligibility.
