A Model for the Generation of Magnetohydrodynamic Waves by High-altitude Nuclear Bursts

A model for the generation of magnetohydrodynamic waves by high-altitude nuclear bursts is presented which approximates the physical conditions present immediately following the detonation of a nuclear device.
